1. What is AP TET 2025?

  • It’s the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) for 2025.

3. Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Age: 18 years. (Amazing AP TET 2025 Notification)

Educational Qualifications:

Paper 1 (Classes I–V): Intermediate (or equivalent) + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or similar.
Paper 2 (Classes VI–VIII): Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed, or B.Ed, or equivalent special education qualification.
Other Notes: For special-education papers, equivalent RCI-recognized qualifications are acceptable.

4. Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Exam Duration:  2.5 hours (2 hours 30 minutes) per paper.
Total Questions: 150 MCQs in each paper.

Paper-wise Subjects:

Amazing AP TET 2025 Notification Paper 1A & 1B (I–V): Child Development & Pedagogy; Language I (regional); Language II (English); Mathematics; Environmental Studies.
Paper 2A & 2B (VI–VIII): Child Development & Pedagogy; Language I; Language II; plus either Mathematics & Science or Social Studies (for regular), or Special Education specialization (for B).
Marks:  Each correct answer gives +1 mark; no negative marking is mentioned in key sources.

5. Application Fee

Fee:  ₹ 1,000 per paper (for all categories) as per the latest notification.

6. Qualifying / Passing Criteria

Qualifying marks vary by category:

OC / EWS: 60% (i.e., 90 out of 150)
BC: 50% (i.e., 75 out of 150)
SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-servicemen: 40% (i.e., 60 out of 150)
Certificate Validity:  Lifetime (as per NCTE-aligned norms)

7. Purpose / Significance

AP TET is required to certify teacher eligibility for appointment in schools (government, aided, private) for Classes I to VIII in Andhra Pradesh. It ensures teacher quality and standard according to NCTE guidelines.

Exam Centers:

The exam will be held in all 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh.
